Drypoints are created by directly scratching an image onto a plate and then printing the image from the plate via an etching press. Participants will learn how to transfer images onto the plate, experiment with a variety of mark-making techniques, explore line and value, and aquire skills in proper printing methods. The instructor will cover selective wiping as well as combining colors a la poupee. This course is perfect for beginners who enjoy drawing as well as experienced artists looking for a new mode of expression.
